1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in a comparable way. In this policy, “cookies” refers to both.
2. How we use cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use strictly necessary storage to remember your cookie choice, and — only if you consent — analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Website is used so that we can improve it. We do not use advertising, marketing or social-media tracking cookies.
3. Your consent and how to change it
On your first visit a banner lets you choose “Accept All”, “Reject All” or set your “Preferences”. Analytics cookies stay switched off until you accept them. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below or via “Cookie Settings” in the footer of every page.
4. Cookies we use
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
syc_consent (local storage) | superyacht-consultancy.com | Stores your cookie choice and the date it was made | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors with a random identifier | 2 years | Analytics — consent required |
_ga_E89Y2QM7Z4 | Google Analytics | Keeps the session state for our Google Analytics property | 2 years | Analytics — consent required |
5. Google Analytics and Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode v2. By default all Google storage is denied, and the Google Analytics script is not loaded until you give consent. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google acts as our processor; you can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Fonts and external links
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so no request is sent to third-party font services. When you follow a link to another website — for example one of our sister services or a shipyard — that website’s own cookie policy applies.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies in their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect how some websites work. Deleting your browser storage will also delete your cookie choice, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
8. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version.
